After serving an LDS mission in upstate New York, he pursued an undergraduate degree in Business Management.
He then went on to work for his brother's family law practice in Grand Rapids, MI, while working on his Juris Doctorate Degree from Michigan State University College of Law.
After graduation, he found himself in Arizona where he joined the Arizona State Bar and married his wife.

During her undergrad, Gabi started UVU's first anarchist club, interned for a Utah Senator, completed a study abroad program in Nice, France, and volunteered for the small claims court as a mediator.
She also met her husband and got married at the tender age of twenty.
After much convincing from her political science professors, Gabi decided to attend law school.
She recently graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law, located in Eugene, Oregon.
