Following high school, he worked as a carpenter, first for his father's construction company and then for himself, building custom homes designed for the environment of Alaska.
He went on to earn his undergraduate from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In 2020, Silvan graduated from the University of Washington School of Law. He joined the North Cascades Law Group in 2021, with a focus on real estate, small business, estate planning, civil litigation, and construction law.
