To properly defend product liability cases, an attorney must possess the knowledge and appreciation of the science and technology of the product, the application of the law to the intricacies of the product, and the ability to take on the scientific expert witness on the expert's own level.
A thorough grounding in the sciences enables an attorney to see the strengths and weaknesses in a client's product and to act vigorously in their defense.
There is no substitute for the integration of the broad scientific method overlaid with the technical and legal ramifications of a product liability case.
