Mark Jr. grew up in a family that was passionate about community involvement, public affairs, and politics. A Columbia native, Mark went on to Wofford College where he graduated with a B.A. in Business Economics, and a minor in Government. During his studies at Wofford, he studied International Relations and Trade at the Albert Ludwig School in Freiburg, Germany. After graduation, Mark became a banker in Charleston, SC for several years. After finding his calling, Mark Jr. returned to Columbia and attended the University of South Carolina School of Law.
