Lowcountry Legacy Law Firm
Lowcountry Legacy Law Firm LLC was founded in 2015 to provide families and business owners with intelligent, responsive estate and succession planning strategies in a friendlier way. Through the use of Living Trusts, Wills (simple & complex), Powers of Attorney, Irrevocable Trusts, Family Companies, and Charitable Giving our firm helps families preserve their wealth for future generations, minimize estate taxes, and avoid the complexities of probate.

Our advanced Estate Plans can provide for remarriage protection for surviving spouses as well as divorce protection for any beneficiaries. Legacy Planning is centered around helping our clients create a legacy which will be meaningful and memorable for future generations. Often times clients put a much higher value on the non-tangible and non-financial assets they leave to their loved ones then they do on any bank account or other property.

Our Legacy Planning approach guides clients through the best way to include their life stories and personal values into an all encompassing estate plan through the use of Ethical Wills, Purposeful Trusts, and Family Letters.

Asset Protection
Report
There are many reasons that an asset protection strategy might be something to consider.
Whether you have investment/rental properties or are a small business owner determining how to best protect yourself and your family from creditors can be critical to your long-term financial health.
Any real estate that is purchased to sell for profit in the future or to produce rental income is generally considered investment property.
Whether you have a vacation home at the beach or a rental property in the city these sources of extra income can turn into huge liabilities without the right planning in place.

Estate Planning
Report
For clients who seek to ensure that their assets pass to the people that they want a Simple Estate Plan provides a good starting point.
With a Will based estate plan clients can choose who their beneficiaries are and what percentage of assets will pass to each one.
At Lowcountry Legacy Law Firm we will also provide a Durable Power of Attorney, a Healthcare Power of Attorney, a Personal Property Memorandum, and a HIPAA Authorization Form with every Simple Estate Plan.
These supporting documents will help clients have the peace of mind that they will be cared for by the people that they love and rely on in the event of incapacity.
Cryptoasset Inheritance Planning
Report
Whether you are invested in Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other token running on a separate DAO or Layer 1/2 blockchain you will need a plan - in addition to your traditional estate plan - to pass access to this currency/token to your beneficiaries.
Similarly "non-fungible tokens" are a rapidly growing class of digital assets.
The rights you have to your unique tokens can be passed on only through careful planning which involves both traditional estate planning as well as planning for access using unique Keys, Seeds and/or Access Codes.
