The attorneys at Willen Limsky Stampfer and Dowling PA, formerly a member of Summerfield Willen Silverberg and Limsky LLC, have been serving the greater Baltimore, Washington and Virginia metropolitan areas for more than 40 years. The law practice handles both counseling and litigation matters. Our attorneys hold licenses in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

We are a small firm of dedicated, experienced attorneys who recognize that our clients' satisfaction is the best measure of our success. Our paramount goal in counseling our clients is to provide them with sound, timely, practical advice in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Alan Silverberg graduated from American University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1970.
For more than 45 years, he has applied his experienced litigation skills to represent thousands of clients in the areas of family law, complex business and estate litigation, and to successfully recover millions of dollars for those wrongfully injured both in and out of the workplace.
Mr. Silverberg has litigated cases in Baltimore City and surrounding counties, including Baltimore, Carroll, Howard, Anne Arundel, Harford, Prince George's, Frederick, Montgomery, Charles and Somerset Counties, as well as the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, Maryland Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

Amy Stampfer received her B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University in 1988 and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1993.
While living in Boston, Amy Stampfer focused her legal practice on health care law matters and served as a Health Law Consultant and Special Counsel to the Massachusetts Hospital Association, the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, and other medical organizations.
Moving to Baltimore in 1999, Amy Stampfer was a stay-at-home mom and then worked as the Admission Associate for grades K-4 in a private school for several years before returning to the practice of law in 2009.
Stacie M Dowling

Stacie Dowling received her received her B.S., in International Business and French, from Muhlenberg College and her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.
Since joining Willen, Limsky, Stampfer & Dowling, PA in 2009, Stacie Dowling has been heavily involved in the dental transaction division.
Today, Stacie Dowling helps clients with all their professional legal needs including their start-ups, acquisition and practice sales, employment/associate contracts and buy-ins/buy-outs.
She also has significant experience in contract and lease negotiations, general business planning and transactions.
Sherry K Myers

Sherry graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies from Stevenson University.
After graduating from Stevenson, Sherry attended law school at the University Of Baltimore School Of Law.
While in law school, Sherry focused her studies on issues facing today's families, earning a concentration in Family Law, certification as a facilitative mediator, and ultimately obtaining her Juris Doctor with honors.
After becoming a licensed Maryland attorney, Sherry worked as an associate at Summerfield, Willen, Silverberg & Limsky, LLC, where she focused her practice in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation and Landlord/Tenant matters.

Alan J. Van Luven was admitted to the practice of law in Delaware in 1998, in Maryland and the District of Columbia in 1999, and to the United States Tax Court in 2002.
Mr. Van Luven's areas of practice include estate and trust planning, individual and fiduciary income tax planning, preparation of individual and fiduciary income tax returns, business planning, estate and trust administration, and the representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities.
