Christopher R. Hedrick

Mr. Hedrick has been actively engaged in a comprehensive private practice focusing on civil litigation and workers' compensation defense at the state and federal levels since 1992.
He has tried over 75 civil jury trials and was co-counsel on a $25 million lawsuit.
He regularly defends cases under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.
Mr. Hedrick has developed a national practice assisting clients in evaluating how to defend these cases.
Mr. Hedrick is a member of the Newport News, Virginia, North Carolina, and American Bar Associations, the Virginia and North Carolina State Bars, the Defense Research Institute, and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.
Bradley D. Reeser

His practice focuses on maritime workers' compensation defense, insurance defense, § 1983 defense, and appellate litigation.
As a junior associate, Brad has already argued case dispositive motions in Virginia Circuit Court, argued two medical re-pricing cases at the Virginia Court of Appeals (resulting in published decisions), and drafted numerous brief products in the Eastern District of Virginia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Brad has also defended institutional clients in administrative hearings before the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission and the United States Department of Labor Office of Administrative Law Judges.

Ms. Sweeney worked as an attorney-advisor at the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges in Newport News from 2016 to 2017.
From 2017 until she joined the firm in 2019, Ms. Sweeney served as Staff Attorney at the Office of Administrative Law Judges.
While earning her law degree, Ms. Sweeney assisted in drafting an amicus brief filed in the Supreme Court of the United States by the Civil Rights Appellate Clinic.
