Russell Ford
Report
Russell began working in business immigration as a clerk during his second year of law school at Tulane University, and was immediately drawn to the personal side of the practice.
Having worked at large law firms in Atlanta and New England, Russell founded FordMurray with law partner Michael Murray in 2014, with an eye toward outstanding customer service and personal attention that both founders felt could get lost in larger firms.
Russell assists public and private employers, large and small, in developing effective immigration policies and strategies for personnel movement around the globe.
Michael J. Murray
Report
FordMurray founding partner Michael Murray's global perspective was forged early on, growing up in a military family and traveling the world as a small child.
Having lived in Germany, Korea, and the United Kingdom, Michael learned at a young age the universal values held across borders and cultures.
Michael takes this philosophy into his immigration practice, where he has devoted his career to working with hospitals, institutions of higher education, and businesses of all sizes to find the best solutions for their immigration law needs.
Case Studies
Report
Immigration law is nuanced.
It can be complicated and bureaucratic.
For our clients - visa and immigrant petitions are at once high-stakes and really boring - involving thousands of pages of applications and documentation in a process that is designed to ensure safety and security, and all too often entails red-tape and high levels of scrutiny.
But as immigration attorneys, we get to see the good news that happens every day.
We know our country was built on immigration, and we get to part of the process for people who want to work here, live here, and plant their roots.
Higher Education Overview
Report
Colleges and universities are faced with the task of preparing undergraduate and graduate students for lives beyond their degree program.
To work towards that goal, higher education institutions work to foster inclusive campus cultures and employ dynamic teams of faculty, scholars, researchers and professional staff.
International student programs provide myriad benefits - not only do they provide an important revenue stream for colleges and universities, these programs create diversity of thought and academic practice, and help create a vibrant campus for all students.
